Interpretation and Definitions

Words with an initial capital letter have the meanings defined below, whether they appear in singular or in plural.

• Account means the unique account created for you to access our Service.
• Company (referred to as "we", "us" or "our") refers to easyJobs, operated under licence from easyGroup Ltd.
• Service refers to the easyJobs website, applications and related features, including the CV studio, job matching and AI job agents.
• Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically when using the Service, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
• Website refers to easyJobs, accessible from easyjobs.com.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Data you give us

• Account data: your name, email address and password (stored as a secure hash), or your Google account identity if you sign in with Google.
• Profile and CV content: the career information you add or import — work history, education, skills, languages, certifications, contact details, links, and the content of CVs and cover letters you create. This is the core of the Service: we only use it to build your documents, match you with jobs and, at your direction, send applications.
• Job preferences: target roles, locations, salary expectations and agent settings you configure.
• Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only your subscription status and billing history references.

Data collected automatically

• Usage Data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, the pages you visit and when, and diagnostic data. We use this for security (e.g. detecting abuse) and to improve the product.
• Application activity: which jobs you view, save, dismiss or apply to, so matching improves over time.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We currently use only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and local storage that remembers your preferences (such as language). These are essential for the Service to work and do not track you across other websites.

We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

Use of Your Personal Data

We may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service, including your Account.
• To generate your CVs, cover letters and job matches, including processing your profile content with AI systems (see below).
• To send job applications on your behalf when you use auto-apply or instruct an agent to do so.
• To manage your subscription and process payments.
• To contact you with service emails (account activation, password reset, application updates).
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

easyJobs uses large language models to draft and improve CVs and cover letters, score job matches and power your agents. Your profile and CV content is sent to our AI infrastructure providers (such as Google Cloud) solely to generate these results for you. It is not used by us to train public AI models.

Sharing Your Personal Data

• Employers and recruiters: when you apply to a job — or an agent applies for you at your direction — your CV, cover letter and contact details are shared with that employer or recruiter. Once delivered, their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
• Service providers: we use trusted providers to operate the Service — Google Cloud (hosting and AI), Firebase (sign-in), Stripe (payments), job listing data providers, and email delivery services. They process data only on our instructions.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your data may be transferred; we will provide notice before your data becomes subject to a different policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention and Deletion

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate legal or business purposes (such as tax and accounting records for payments). You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your profile, CVs, agents, applications and analytics. You may also request deletion or a copy of your data by contacting us at the address below.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside of your state, province or country, where data protection laws may differ. We take steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy, and no transfer takes place without adequate safeguards in place.

Security

The security of your Personal Data is important to us. Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is restricted. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for people old enough to seek employment and is not directed at anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us and we will remove it.

Links to Other Websites

Job listings and other parts of the Service may link to third-party websites (such as an employer's careers page). We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any third-party site. We advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or with a prominent notice in the Service. Changes are effective when posted on this page.
